Healthy Eating Plan Comparison Nutrition is a science that takes the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food in relation to maintenance, growth etc. it also includes food intake and absorption. Nutrition is very important. This generation of people struggle with unhealthy habits and being overweight. Alabama’s obesity rate in 2015 was 35.6%, now it is higher than that. Alabama has the second highest obesity rate in the nation. Everyone should eat healthy, but eating un healthy is less expensive. The purpose of eating healthy is it has great benefits. Eating healthy may reduce risk for heart disease, strokes, and heart attacks. When eating healthy it also keeps you in great health condition and energetic. Vegetables provide†¦show more content†¦A healthy diet would consist of me consuming 1800 calories per day. Comparing my meal eating from 3 days to the food pyramid I do not eat right or healthy. The reason I do not eat right is because of working, I tend to forget to eat or go to sle ep hungry, which is not a healthy or good thing. The way I could get recommended servings is by making time to eat and base my diet off things I eat, add more vegetables and fruit. There are six classes of nutrients water, protein, fat, carbohydrate, minerals, and vitamins. All the nutrients were included in my 3 days but not every day. Some nutrient rich foods that I could add is beans, grilled food, and fruits. On our rate, my diet discussion thread I score as â€Å"Diet Disaster†. My results did not surprise me because I do not eat right. I usually do not eat 3 times a day I may eat 1 time a day and snack the rest of the day, which is not a good thing. I do not eat certain things, I am a picky eater, I sometimes forget to eat because I am so busy and tired when I get home. Some changes I could improve to make my score go up is to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner not just snacks. I often overlook eating and start making sure I eat no matter how tired or busy I am. I should probably expand my eating and try new things. I should eat more even if it’s fast food I need to eat maybe start cooking. I also did a diabetes test to see if I was low or high risk.
